How tired everyone gets, the weather, and how crowded it is are the factors on when we leave.

I realize it's a Sunday, but it's always an option.

Tickets are $19.95 at the gate for and adult
[$10.95 for children and $17.95 for seniors]

You really see people in anything at the Ren Fest
From jeans and t-shirts
to "gothy" black on black on black
To fairy wings, horns, belly dancing attire, pirates - and every other look imaginable.
Just be yourself and do what feels comfortable.
It's about having fun =)

Here are some pictures of people who have gone with us over the past few years

Woot!

So my last post got me thinking.
(Which is always dangerous)
And I realized that I had basically no photos of myself riding.
Which is rather strange to me, consider what a huge part of my life it was.
Which got me digging through old photos albums and scanning in some pictures.
I thought they'd be fun to share.

I realize since I'm older now, and since I am so busy with school and work and other such things
That most people who know me now, do not really realize what a large part of my life it really has been.
Specially the people that I've met in college.

Well...
Anywho.

It Begins....Collapse )

Okay I'm SURE no one actually went through this all.
But I had fun! =P

Giddy Up!

Okay so I know this wasn't on my "things I wanted to do this summer" list....
but it is in fact something I REALLY want to do!

"Majority rule isn't supposed to infringe upon the rights of the minority." - Aurelio

"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

Equality is Equality.
Not pick and choose.

Do not let this be an issue you turn a blind eye on.

Get informed and involved.

This is my new favorite video.
I cannot watch it and not laugh. Therefor - I am making you all watching it too =P

Moving on however, is my list of shit I've come with so far of things I want to do this summer.
Even though I'm going to be studying for my GRE (which I offically signed up for) and down at the lab and working. I still want this to be a good balanced summer.
---------------------

*Picnic - I know it sounds cheesy, but you get the right people together and it could be a lot of fun. Do a BBQ at the park or something

*Bell Isle - call me crazy, but I honestly haven't been there in years. I know a lot of stuff has been shut down, but it still could be cool to explore.

*Riverfront - I know the area infront of the renassiance building down to hart plaza has been redone, and I haven't seen it yet.

*Cottage - I want to spend a lot of time up at my cottage hanging out with friends, bonfires and swimming!

*Photowalks - this is something I want to start doing. Going somewhere and taking pictures of things on the way, or taking pictures of someone/with someone.

*Science Center - I know this one costs $$, but I've never been to the science center downtown. They seem to always have cool exhibits moving through.

*Zoo - I totally want to go to the zoo this year. Maybe even the toledo zoo too!

*Cedar Point - speaks for itself. I haven't been since I was in 8th grade and Jamie has never been.

*Ghost Hunting/Tours

*Go to a Western Bar - I know =P I'm a dork. I may not enjoy country music, but there's something so appealing about cowboy boots, mechanical bulls and linedancing lmao

*Karaoke - dammit, when I turn 21 I am forcing people to get wasted with me and sing

*Lots of Concerts and Clubbing

That's about all I've come up with.
If anyone has any ideas or if anyone is interested in partaking in any of theses - leave me a comment and let me know = )

It's a little early.....

But I thought I'd share my birthday plans in case people have to plan accordingly.
(Like I do - stupid work making me live 3 weeks in advanced.)

I'm finally turning 21.
Even though I feel like I've been for the past 3 years =P
And there's a few different things going on, in case you want to celebrate with me!

Sunday, June 14th - my mom has planned a family/friends get together at my house.
My brother will be in town from San Fran.
So it's sort of a get to see him, meet his boyfriend, my birthday all thrown into one.
It's going to be more like an open house - so a come/go as you need type thing from 6pm on.
If you feel comfortable hanging with me and the fam - just let me know if you think your going to stop by!

Friday, June 19th - My friend Amanda (whose birthday is the 14th) and I plan on going out to the bar(s?). I am not knowledgeable in bars - so I have no idea what one(s) or where. [any suggestions?] If you're 21+ and would like to join us in this outing, let me know!

Monday, June 22nd - Necto! If you are 18+ and are interested in Industrial Night at Necto in Ann Arbor - let me know!

That is all =P haha

In other news - today's questionable content cracks me up.

Happy Earth Day!

We had no hot water last night.
So I had to turn the water off between shampooing my hair off - then rinsing it out fast and turning the water off and doing the same thing with conditioner and soap.  It was AWESOME *not*
But hey, I did my part in conserving water, right =P

Anyway.

HAPPY EARTH DAY!
Go plant a tree, or walk somewhere instead of drive.
Find ways to incorporate ways to be green into your every day living.
This earth is ours to take care of, and we've trashed it.
So do your part to help fix it!

..... and just because I did awesome green makeup to match =P
